Children's Ministry

"Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me...""
Matthew 19:14

We can’t wait to welcome kids from infants through 5th grade to Sunday morning worship!

Your little ones will dive into interactive activities, songs, and games that make learning about Jesus exciting. After worship, children break into age-appropriate groups for Bible study, filled with engaging lessons, crafts, and hands-on activities that bring God’s Word to life.

We also offer children’s ministry during our Wednesday night discipleship, providing a midweek opportunity for kids to continue growing in their faith in a fun, engaging environment.

If your family has never fellowshipped with us before, we invite you to preregister your family ahead of time to help make your first visit smooth and easy:

Our goal is to partner with parents to spark a love for Jesus and help children grow in their faith from the very start!

Children's Ministry FAQ

  • Your child’s safety is our top priority! All children are electronically checked in with matching parent and child labels, and only authorized adults may pick them up. Each classroom has video monitoring, and someone is always at the main entrance to the Children’s Ministry wing. Children-only restrooms are available, and our team follows strict procedures to ensure identification, supervision, and immediate response to any incident.

    • Regular Attendance: Prospective Children’s Ministry servants must attend Calvary Chapel Farmville regularly for at least six months before placement. This allows staff to get to know the applicant.

    • Background Check: A CCFarmville background check is required, and the results must show a clean record.

    • Agreement to Serve: Servants must sign the “Agreement to Serve” form, which includes a commitment to follow all Children’s Ministry policies.

    • Age Requirements: All Children’s Ministry workers must meet the ministry’s age requirements.

    • Approval: Applicants must be approved by Calvary Chapel Lynchburg staff before beginning ministry.

  • This is completely up to you! You can add a “Trusted Person” to your profile, allowing them to check your child in and out. If there’s someone who should not pick up your child, you can list them as “Not Authorized for Pickup.” Any changes or special arrangements can be made with a staff member at check-in.

  • If discipline is needed, parents will be notified and a explanation of the incident given. With that said, we understand that children are in a season of 'learning' and we try to graciously help the children through any difficulties that may arise.

  • Generic snacks are provided to all ages. If a child has any allergies, that information should be given to the VIPs and be included on the name tag so that teachers can he informed

  • We teach the children through the entirety of the Bible. To help parents stay informed, we will periodically send out communication through our parent group in Church Center. If you have not already connected through Church Center, we encourage you to download the app to stay up to date.

If a parent would like to follow along more closely with what their child is learning, we are also happy to share lesson plans with anyone who desires them.
